Exclamation Passenger brake light + rear marker not working - Please help!

The passenger brake light and side rear marker light stopped working on my '05 G55 (US model). All of the other lights are working as well as the other lights on the passenger rear light except the break light + the side rear marker light (the red one). The bulbs have been checked and are not blown. Fuses have been checked as well. Is there some connection between the side rear marker light and the brake light? My mechanic could not even figure it out.

Please help if you know what the problem could be.

As a side note, the ABS light stays on (yet the ABS system works).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar issue last year and after countless hours, days and literally weeks at MB of SF, they figured out its a issue with the rear SAM unit. Have the dealer check that.
