Clunky transmission
Hi All,
There are two things that I've noticed with my G55 transmission which I'm looking for some feedback on.
Firstly, occasionally when the car downshifts (I think from third to second) under brakes the transmission makes a clunk sound and there is a noticeable jolt as second gear is engaged.
Secondly when I shift from reverse to drive it sometimes takes some time for drive to engage and by this time I have already started to press the accelerator and so the car jolts forward.
Are these issues normal? Is the G55 gear box known to be slow and rough?
I'm taking the car back to the dealer this week so any feedback on what problems the transmission might have would be helpful.
