W140 Lover

So I recently caught my eyes on G63's and I'm not too much of a fan of extreme power. (Expecially since the G class is a extreme air dynamic **** blocker and a moving lunchbox.)
I really really want one but never owned a G class before. And want to know what are the issues that are constantly found in a G63 or G class in general.
I've owned S classes for all my life. And currently still own a W140 S500 and W221 S550. And completely used to soft smooth rides, and flexible handling. I have heard the G classes lack the steering wheel adjustment and handling. And heavy suspension that is soft but bouncy. Now money is not the issue when it comes to repairs as I have put in enough repairs in my W140 to buy another mercedes but can't let it go cause I love it wayyy to much. So what do people that own G classes honestly recommend? Would love to get a 3rd mercedes into my collection. Please also note I've never owned an AMG in general.
Also how are your opinions on the ride and the car.
