Buying 2011 G55, NEED HELP and Feedback before I do!!!
So just put deposit down for 2011 G55 with 67k miles.
trying to decided if buying the extended warranty is an absolute must, considering it's not CPO.
Afraid to run in to a bunch of costly repairs
also what services and problem I should expect to come up?
what experience do you guys have with yours and how reliable are they!?
any feedback is appreciated!!!

Buy it. 67k mi isn't chump change and problems on these trucks can add up when they do happen. I'm having a sunroof cable issue that requires the take down of the headlines and getting $1500-3k quotes to fix it. Check wear on rotors and pads. Costly repairs that happen frequently on the heavy G. So depending on length of warranty and cost it could make sense; also on price if the G55 as well as a total package. WOuld be curious what you are paying for the 11/G55 w/ 65kmi.

Schwayz, I concur with the above. I have found my 2010 reliable but when things do go wrong it can be costly. I purchased mine with a very good extended warranty and it came in handy. As an example I had a clunk right before stopping and any speed. Got a new transmission, which was not the problem. Got a new transfer case, also not the problem. Finally got a new front axle, problem solved. All done at a dealer with no cost too me. I think my truck was an anomaly. But I can't imagine what the cost would have been. The one thing to consider is most parts are not sitting in a warehouse so some parts can be weeks out if not longer. All in all still love it, rattle noises and all. Oh yeah, my bad, I thought I had done enough research but I was looking at 09's and earlier. When I bought the 2010 I assumed it had a tow hitch, which it doesn't. Took about a year to find someone here in Los Angeles who would even touch it to install one. All is well.

ScottyOTM, sorry for the slow response and yes it is a real trailer hitch. Welded on the frame with trailer brake. It was done at Precision Trailer Hitch in Sun Valley (L.A.). (818)256-1118.
Great to work with.
