Will there be the AMG G65 model for the W464?
Mercedes announced that the AMG G65 was discontinued for the W463, so I am wondering it is also means that W464 will also has no AMG G65 model in the future?

I'd say potentially if the V12 gets a full revamp. Ancient compared to the tech offered in the new 4.0 liter V8 across much of the lineup. Moving away from displacement for good or for bad.

Where did you see the G65 as discontinued for the W463? My guess is they will be in no rush to stuff a V12 into the W464 until they work out the kinks in the 550/g63 varients. But I'm sure they will do it eventually.

The 65 made no sense in the earlier models and would make even less sense in the new one. In the 463 it lowered the 0 to 60 time .1 second compared to the 63. A tune on a 63 would bring that number down approx .5 seconds. The new 63 is even quicker. They would need to do some serious upgrades for it to make sense.

They have registered G73 moniker so I doubt G65 is coming back.
Looks like MB plans to replace the V12 with the 4.0 V8 Hybrid with a total of 800HP.
