Nolden DRL install: Connector issue, Help appreciated

I was told that Nolden supplies the OEM DRL for the Mercedes G63 and I was looking to change my stock chrome finish DRL’s for one with black housing. Upon replacement, I noticed there was an issue, the plugs are not the same.

I have a 2018 G63 which came with LED DRL’s so I figured I didn’t need the LED transformers.

What is is the solution here? Is there an adapter I can purchase or wiring harness of some sort to make them compatible?

I would simply cut off stock connector and use on the new lights. Simply cut. Strip. Heat shrink. Plug and enjoy.

I have contemplated your solution but I’ve had conflicting responses from Revspeed (vender is purchased from on eBay) and Nolden. I’ve emailed both asking for a solution. Nolden says that they did indeed supply the OEM DRL to MB but it is only available in chrome and that the black one is not compatible such that if I were to change the connector and plug it in, the DRL would get destroyed. This is in contrast to revspeed which advised that it would be fine to just change out the plug and connect and there should be no issues.

Does anyone have any experience?
