G55 Head Unit replacement and harness
I'm looking at moving from my 13 C63 to a 11 G55, but being that the G is a little older the nav system and iphone integration is not quite up to scratch.
What are my options to replace the nav/stereo system with an after market unit with apple car play?
Are there any harness and integration kits that make the job easy, or is it a case of doing the wiring myself?

I just installed the following on my 2003 G55:
Pioneer MVH-1400NEX
Metra ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control
Metra 70-9401 Radio Harness
Metra 95-8722B Mouting kit
Metra 40-VW12 Antenna adapter
$375 for everything
I need to take the truck to a dealer to have the nav and phone deleted from the CPU. (dash clock and radio clock no longer talk to eachother)
Only thing I miss from the old system is the volume knob. The steering wheel controls work fine, but a knob was faster/easier to use.
There is a similar unit from Sony with a volume knob, but the reviews convinced me to get the Pioneer instead.

G55 AMG & SLK350
I have a similar question that y'all can answer most likely. My G55 is an '08 with the original head unit. I can use my phone for calling and contacts but that's all. I would like to use my Spotify, Pandora, etc. Do I need to replace the head unit? I think I already know the answer but I thought would be worth asking. Is there a setting or something that would enable my streaming services to be visible to the head unit? Thanks in advance.

Has the wiring been done easily?
I've purchased chinese Hizpo radio for w463 to replace original command of my G400CDI, but when I connect all wires it just doesnt want to start..
