My friend is selling his 2005 G55 with 140k miles on it and in great condition with a lot of work done to it. He is asking for high 40s. Is thinking about purchasing this vehicle a bad idea given the mileage notwithstanding the great condition?
What questions and documentation should I be inquiring about (e.g., service records, etc.) to make myself feel comfortable with the high mileage?

Daily Driver, I need 10 ply tires for where I live in the mountains and this particular G55 has a set of OEM 18s and G63 2020 rim set as well. Of course there are other 10 ply tire options but this is too convenient of an opportunity to not consider.
From my understanding, Brabus exterior body kit installed in 2020/2021 to look like a G63. 2019 G63 steering whee installed. Among other upgrades (e.g., brakes, calipers, rotors, break pads, LED lights). Service records and install from local mechanic.
Seems to be a decent price considering 2003-2005 G500s with almost similar mileage and like 5-7 owners are in like the low $40s. Although I did recently buy my 2006 G55 Designo with 132k miles, 1 owner, and $15k in suspension upgrades, roof rack, wheels and tires for almost the same price. I looked for a long time also. These G55s are becoming really rare.
I increased my budget and splurged. Looking for another G for me or wife. Off-road ready. Need to do some work on this one for my 10/12 ply tire (
can see mountain top in background).
