'05 G55 Official Pricing Released!!

MBUSA just released the Base MSRP for the MY05 G55 Kompressor!

MSRP - $99,900

I am a bit disappointed to see that the Navigation Collection is still a $150 option, which means this $100k truck still has CD-rom Nav. What a joke! The only other options available are the Designo Packages!

That is a joke. There must be some contractual reason that they still use that POS although that is no excuse. Cars less than half this price have had dvd for a few years now. Bad move.

I agree with you 100%, but my guess is that they are using up all the remaining CD-rom units due the fact that the G-class will be getting a remodel for MY06!

The one now is a cd rom unit that uses about 10 disks for the US. If you are in NewYork and would like to go to North Carolina, you cannot program this in the nav. Your disk would only go as far as maybe Delaware and then you need to change disks so while you are driving you will never have the route to your destination plotted out or the mileage etc. With the DVD, you get the whole country on one disk and can plot out your trip from the start.
