Black brakes with Performance Package
Does anyone know if there is an option to build the new G63 with black brake calipers instead of red? I plan on opting for the Performance Package, which selects the red calipers but I've seen a few 2025 G63s on social media with the black calipers and don't see that option on the build website nor the build guide.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi @yoni_boloni -- Great question! In the U.S. at least, the only brake caliper colors available per the Order Guide for the 2025 G63 are silver (BS1) and red (BS2). As you correctly noted, selecting the AMG Performance Package (DC2) automatically includes the red calipers.
The German configurator indicates the option code for the black painted brake calipers is BS5 -- I am not certain what part number that translates to, but your dealer may be able to do some checking if you wanted to try to source them. It would be considerably less expensive to just have them painted than to order new calipers, of course, but unfortunately the black calipers are not a configurable option in the U.S. this year from everything I have seen.

I'm sure MB sells them as replacement parts. Not sure how to go about finding the spare part # though. I was able to order a drivers side hood blinker this way, when a rock chip cracked mine. Someone on the forums provided me with the part #.
