My 2025 G63 departed for the US on the transport ship on the 28th of March. Obviously it had not arrived as of last Wednesday when the tariffs were officially confirmed and still has not arrived at the US port of entry. As I understand it 10% tariffs went into effect across the board for all countries yesterday (April 5), and the specific 20% tariff for the EU goes into effect this Wednesday (April 9). Any guesses on what will happen here? I’m betting I’m not lucky enough to see no impact.
I recall Mercedes saying that they are absorbing the tariffs for ordered 2025 models so customers aren’t affected. You should be good, dealer will know for sure unless they’re shady and add some tariff recovery BS charge to put in their pockets…
