M156FTW

So im looking for my first project mercedes. Something under 1000 that needs some work so i can keep busy with it and bring it back to life in time. I like how the 1991 300SL's look, or the 190Es but those seem to be pretty rare. Any suggestions on a good first project car thats got a good amount of parts that are available or somewhat easy to work on? I dont mind a challenge but thats why im looking for probably 1990 and earlier so things are a bit more simple. Any advice is appreciated!
