1966 250S relay connector cover

Would anyone have the small, dark brown (appears black) connector shell (cover) for this relay in the engine compartment? In one photo (before it was removed to paint the engine bay) the cover is in place (the pins are not visible). In the newer photos, the pins are visible because the shell is missing.

This is my 1966 W108 250S - an early W108, and it is different from later ones. It may be a part also found on a W113 250SL.

Also, what is this relay is for?

Here the pins are visible.

This shows the connector cover in place.

What is this relay for?
