any general advice for a 240D
I'll soon be the proud owner of a 1983 240D (inherited from a deceased uncle). I know nothing about diesel cars and have never owned a Mercedes. Any general info/advice you can pass on about this particular model or being a new owner of a Mercedes will be appreciated.
Also, due to its age, I anticipate making regular visits to the repair shop. I am concerned about things like availability of parts and cost of repairs and would like to get some input along those lines. Will I need to take it to a mechanic who specializes in Mercedes or European cars?
