My 11 year old daughter and I have started working on her first car, a 1958 220S.
This car sat in a museum for 30 years, so we're doing a complete rebuild of every mechanical system before we put her back on the road.
I'm hoping to find some kindly folks here with parts they might be willing to swap.
What I have to pull from:
Two early 70s sedans, a rolling 220D missing the engine and transmission but with everything else, and a 280 with a running engine. Happy to pull anything off them that you might be hunting for.
So far the parts I am hunting for on the '58 220s:
1) brake master cylinder.
2) Fuel tank.
3) Exhaust components starting at the second muffler.

not sure if you still have the white cars you are parting out, but I desperately need the pair of front fog lights with the clear lens. As far as parts for your Ponton, check with Michael Medill Gaston Oregon. He has many parts from old Mercedes that he has stripped and stored. I was just in touch with him 2 weeks ago and got a dual heater core and valves for my old 62 220SE.
