Helping to restore a 1959 220S (Ponton). The oil pan is off and I have 2 questions:
1) Is there a gasket that needs to be replaced? I couldn't find one on any of the documentation available.
2) There is a semi-circle opening on one end. I was provided a cloth gasket to place in channel. Seems to be too thick. Either there is an 'old mechanics trick' to insert - or I have the wrong gasket/seal. Anyone have sage advice?
(Sure, I'd rather be messing with a Pagoda - don't mock me!)
