Verizon Wireless roadside assistance...scam!
Today, as I was reviewing my cellular bill, I saw a new added charge of $5.94. It said digital numeric paging and roadside assistance. I called customer service to ask what the heck this was all about. They informed me that a mailing was sent informing me of this new featrure/service and that it said after the free introductory period, a charge of ??? would be added to my bill.
I politely told them that I have roadside assistance on all my cars and I didn't know or cared to know what this digital numeric paging was. Why would one need it if one has voice messaging on one's cellular?? I aasked for a credit and an immediate stop.
Watch out guys! sneaky marketing and nice scam, Verizon...

thanks for the heads up man... it seems the every week I have to call verizon to ***** about my bill... this is just something else I have to look out for...
the last thing they did was charge me for local calls in my home area..they said that there was a problem wiht a few of their antenas or what ever and it was an error.. they said not to worry bout the bill and to go ahead and pay the full amount and they will automatically credit back the incorrect billing... i was like hell no.. you back it out now and i'll pay the correct amount...
which they did
