Question Am I eligible for Service A?

All though, FSS indicator has about 1100 miles left.
Last service was done in about 14 month ago.
Am I eligible for Service A?
Also, I bought the CD changer after one month purchasing my car.
Is this CD changer covered under warranty?

Since, my warranty expiring in about 2 1/2 month, I was going to hold it until FSS indicator Alert me to do so but CD changer is broke.
I get a "No CD Changer" Message and Magazine/cartridge is stuck.
I pull out the plug and put it back in but this didn't do any good.
Eject button light is blinking so I would assume that the power on.
That did it. I can’t drive my car without CD Changer.
I just don’t want a go to dealer for a service again and again.
I had enough of it. Ever since I own this car that I had to go to dealer numerous times for minor problem. I went to dealer twice last month alone for air conditioning problem. Nothing major but it is still hassle.
So I just want a do service all at once.

Despite the fact that I had a numerous minor problem, I decided to keep this car for 1 more year after warranty ends.
Now the problem again.
Seems to me, my car is keep telling me
"Get rid of me before warranty ends."

BTW, I have 02 CLK 31000 miles.

For what its worth, they should change the oil since its been a year. Get anything fixed under warrenty before it expires and I've heard if you decide to sell it do it before it expires. That way you get more for because the dealership will charge MBUSA for the work.

These cars should go a 100,000 miles but yes they are expensive to work on. That is the risk you take for keeping one after the warrenty is gone. Also dearlerships very in intergrity, some of them don't really know how to fix some things and some just want to soak you.

It depends which stealership you go to for the service A. If you know the service advisor, then he will do it for you not based on mileage but on months you've owned the car between services. I've gotten my car's service A and B done and I own a 02 with 24k miles on it.

In regards to your stereo problem, if you've brought it to the dealership for over 3 times and they can't figure it out after changing the head unit, the cd changer, and the fiber-optics. Tell them to make sure the head unit's "brand" and the cd changer's "brand" matches. They may need to special order one for you from germany. I had the same problem, for 2 years, they still can't figure it out, I was in/out of the dealership every other week, that's what did the trick.

On the cars where service is included, they normally want you to wait until you're within a certain amount of miles of service due.

I would call your SA and and ask them (nicely) if they could perform the service to avoid you having to come back next month (since you need to bring it in for the CD changer). They probably won't have a problem with that.

If you purchased your changer from the dealer, and had it installed there, then I believe it would be covered under warranty.

If you do not have extended warranty protection, you might want to think twice about keeping the car out of warranty. My car's warranty is up at the end of the year, and I will not keep it one day out of warranty.
