MB offers 2-year warranty for passenger cars in Europe
This article from DCX is dated 9 September. What type of warranty did they (Euro) have before? If they also had a 4 year/50K like US this is bad news if coming here:
"Mercedes-Benz offers two-year warranty for passenger cars and vans throughout Europe
24-month warranty for new vehicles; no mileage limit
Warranty promise for privately and commercially utilized vehicles
Addition to the existing mobility warranties MobiloLife and MobilityGo
Stuttgart, Sep 09, 2005
DaimlerChrysler is introducing a two-year warranty for new passenger cars and vans throughout Europe, effective retroactively from September 1, 2005. The warranty is issued by the respective national subsidiary and is valid from the day the vehicle is delivered or when the automobile is first registered (the earlier of the two dates applies). The warranty is valid in all member states of the European Union as well as in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
In line with the company’s warranty terms and conditions, the new regulation is not subject to a mileage limit, thus providing Mercedes-Benz customers with even more security. The guaranteed services apply to privately and commercially utilized vehicles from Mercedes-Benz.
The new two-year warranty augments the existing Mercedes-Benz warranties: MobiloLife for passenger cars and MobilityGo for Mercedes-Benz vans."
