Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question, but I'm shopping for a MB (now BMW owner) and just looked at the MBUSA.com website. They don't list any C-Class Kompressors now. Has this technology been discontinued? I rented a C240 Kompressor a few months ago and loved it. Just wondering . . . .
Thanks for any info.

Sorry, my mistake. I checked the car (at my local Enterprise Rent-A-Car) and it's just a Sport, not a Kompressor. Originally Posted by amdeutsch

But are there no more C-Class Kompressors (or just not imported to the States)? I don't see any on the MB USA website.

I don't know the model year (it was a rental) but it was a **C230** not a C240. Originally Posted by amdeutsch

I gather from what I've read on this Forum that the C230 is a better value. I'm just trying to figure out whether I can still get the C230 Kompressor?Super Member
The C230K has been discontinued. The C180K and the C200K are still produced, but not sold in the US.
The 2006 C230 now has a 2.5 liter V6 engine.
The C180K and the C200K have a supercharged 1.8 liter 4 cylinder. The engine block is supposed to be the same as the old C230K (pre-2006).
The new V6 C230 is very nice, but some of us prefer the old supercharged C230K.
In any case, buy the 6 speed manual transmission, not the automatic.

Stick with BMW.... really. I owned 3 BMW and 1 MB . That one would be the last one... Unless you have unlimited money supply and spare car to drive when you MB in the shop.
