End of lease inspection and return to Mercedes-Benz

My lease is up and I am returning a C230 to Mercedes-Benz financial. They are having a company called inspection solutions come over my house and inspect the car 30 days before the turn in date. Can you guys please provide any information as to what I should expect and what will they inspect? Is the transaction over after the car is handed over to MB? Would they send any other bills later? Are there any fees to return the lease? I truly appreciate all the help I have received from this site; it has been an asset to us.
Thank you very much

In general with lease vehicles...... they will check out the overall condition of your/their car and: charge you for excess mileage, wear (tire tread depth etc.), body integrity and paint condition. They have guidelines like...if the dent/door ding can be covered by a credit card it's normal/ok...acceptable tire tread depth is 3/32" or more at the minimum. Contact them ahead of time and they'll tell you what they inspect.

Answers to all these questions are in your lease documents.

Will they go over it first and give you time to repair any possible charges?

Sure, if you give them enough lead time. Don't expect a couple months after the lease is up to be 'fixing' things.
