from my understanding.. it's neither.. they merged... so it's joint ownership...am I right?? anyone.. beuller...beuller....

The DaimlerChrysler company owns the Mercedes Benz brand name.

While it was presented to the world as a merger, the reality is that DaimlerBenz purchased Chrysler.

Lynn has it absolutely correct. Over the course of time, MB has removed almost all, if not all, Chrysler personnel from Board positions and other areas of decision making power.
