the chrysler JOKE 1.5 BILLION LOSS

CHRYSLER reported a 1.5 BILLION LOSS....

while MERCEDES reports reports a 1.5 BILLION PROFIT...

so what reason did Chrysler give ? ....GAS PRICES...B-S

Every hear of th GL/ ML/ G -class or the E55 AMG these cars barely 12 MPG !! AND YET

MERCEDES STILL MADE 1.5 BILLION profit... can you imagine that an entire year of PRODUCTION, SELLING, WORK by mercedes and in the end it was for nothing but unsold cars sitting in a parking lot somewhere in detriot.
Yea , the higher ups keep pouring billions of dollars, sharing mercedes technology, chassis and parts AND Chyrslers are STILL are not selling...

Chrylser had an 82 day supply of unsold cars in its dealer network. WHICH AMOUNTS TO A
2.5 BILLION WORTH OF CARS not sold yet!! WHICH AUTOMAKER makes that MUch IN ADVANCE NOT KNOwing THE DEMAND WASN"T THERE , NOW THERE ARE 100,000 cars just sitting there in Detroit ?? HONDa, Toyots builds cars upon getting the demand, and to the customers wishes..

this is ridiculous, if the higher ups keep chryser after this, it just does more damage to Mercedes because that 1.5 PROFIT mercedes made would have probably gone into more R&D for its next generation cars.

According to the Financial Times, the conference call today included cutting vehicle shipments to US-based Chrysler dealers by 24 per cent this quarter in an attempt to reduce unsold inventory, and an “aggressive” review of the Chrysler unit -- and DIDN'T include a refusal to rule out a sale of the Chrysler division..all three times that that question was posed....

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
There is a glut of gas thirsty cars and SUV's on lots all over the US. Look for some deep discounts on AMG models that would never have happened at $ 1.05 a gallon. The loss at Chrysler is troubling, but nevertheless will not cause DC to shed the division. The Mercedes Car division makes a huge profit, but on a small scale, where Chrysler makes a smaller profit or loss on an enormous cash flow. Selling cars is not the only measure a manufacturer's success. Selling parts is a significant profit center for the company. Why do you think parts depot in Gemersheim is larger than the factory in Sindelfingen?
In the US, Chrysler parts sales make money by the armoured car load.
