I just got my '03 430A last week, but I'd
have to say it's the best car I've ever owned. I plan on keeping it at least 10
to 15 years, if not longer. I'd like to keep
it under 5K per year, which may be tough
to do!

What is wrong? Are you not proud of your CLK430?

I don't think Eric intended to say that he is not proud of his CLK. But rather, he won't buy a car that he is not proud of, therefore, until he can save enough money to get another cool car (ie., CL, SL, etc...), he isn't going to give up the CLK

At least, thats definitely the way I feel

I plan to keep my CLK for a good 7-10 years, or until it dies out on me, or the cost of maintaining exceeds the cost of a new car

you got it mmgrad, i love my CLK, treat her like a newborn, still in perfect condition, not a scratch. Being that i am 18, i didnt buy my car, but earned it through scholarship to college, i would assume that my next car might be a step down from the CLK, as i will keep my CLK until i can by my own car, which i would love to be able to do. Dare i say i might get stuck driving a BMW or something similar (i know, it saddens me too) after the CLK, but i cant complain with any car like that at my age....

(as for CLs and SLs, i guess im just gonna have to keep borrowing my dads cars for quite a while when i want to take the step up for the night....)

1994- 400SEL=kept it for 3 years
1997-S500=plan on keeping 'till 2004
2002-G500= had it for 3 months
2002-(98')F-355=plan on keeping for 2 years
