The History of Mercedes-Benz on the History Channel!
They have a one hour program about the history of Mercedes-Benz on the History Channel. I was just flipping around and caught the last 8 minutes of it. The show is called "Automobile," not sure when it will be on again, I can't locate it with my DirecTV guide.

Yeah, I watched it. I am have been sick all week fighting bronchitis, so it like made my week that something decent was actually playing on TV.
It was a history of the SL, not of Benzes in general. They need to update it, since it was made in 1995. You can buy it at the History Channel store:

The section on the gullwings at the beginning was incredible! Good stuff on Benz racing history too.

Yeah, I only caught the last few minutes of it. Too bad they don't sell it on DVD.

Is that the same show, "Automobiles" that used to be on Speed Channel? They were the coolest, and put together some of the best docs in the world about cars and the companies. I really used to love watching them on Sunday mornings. Now I can't find them anywhere...it's like the Loch Ness Monster...we all have heard, few have seen, and no one can find.
