I been reading on mercedes for past few months all the litature i can get. I want to buy new car for past year . I drive a honda which i have had 8 yr. Im concernced about reliability issue if i buy one and concerned i read alot on people who paid 2 grand to fix there car when broken i read alot about the sam issue with batteries. I really like the look of the new 2008 c 350 but concerned about how good are they and if it is a car i can keep for 8 yr or so . I always been able to fix my car im a hand on guy liek to learn alot and fix things if i can with my hands i see mercedes is all about codes. I do drive alot fast and hard will this car be up for it please hel p me decide give me your input on mercedes

My guess is no problem. Why not get the extended warranty if you are worried about it lasting 7 or 8 years.

As much as I think the 08 C-Class is a great car, and I've driven it extensively, if you're that paranoid about reliability, I wouldn't buy a 1st gen.

However, it looks like MB put a lot of effort and time to make it right the first time, so if I had to put my money on any 1st gen car coming out these days, it would be the 08 C-Class.
