AMG Sales Figures
AMG's main markets are the U.S., Canada and Germany. The company sold about 3,800 C-Class vehicles (C 32), over 2,500 E-Class passenger cars (E 55), more than 2,000 CLK 55s, around 2,200 SLK 32s, more than 3,500 M-Class vehicles (ML 55) and nearly 4,000 S-Class vehicles and CL coupes (S/CL 55) last year.
3,800 C32 AMG's (This figure also includes the Estate model) for the entire world is not a lot.
Since the C32 is the cheapest AMG (Im not saying its cheap, I am just saying for AMG it is) the amount of people willing to pay for it should be the highest of the lower (C,SLK,E,CLK) models.
The reason (in my opinion) that the C32 doesn't sell more then it should is becuase it is not available in stick. This is where the M's take away from MB. (That and the fact that the M's always beat AMG
).I expected the C32 to have the highest sales figures of the lower models, I also expected a lot of CL and S AMG's since the people who can afford them (Regular CL and S) can usually spend the extra $ on the AMGs, and the M really threw me since I didn't think that many people wanted fast SUVs.
AMG MB are common in my area and I am surprised at how many AMG sold throughout the world, 18,500 cars is not all that limited anymore.
