Looking to get a 2003 CL500 or CL600(V12)!!

I am on the market and will be purchasing one of these cars in the month of March. I have a friend who is a saleman and is going to give me either one of these cars at cost. I am now doing my research because I am aware of the ABC problems and oil leaks with these cars. I have heard many warranty companies won't insure the CL600 because of the V12 engine. I have found two warranty companies two so far that will. The companies are AA AutoWarranty and SmartAutoWarranty. Both said, they could offer me bumper to bumper, 3 year/85,000 warranty on this car for $3,400. The car has to have 60,000 miles or less to get bumper to bumper. Have any of you used any of these warranty companies or which company would you personally recommend? From home to work, I drive 14.58 going and coming. So about 38.19 including going to the gym. How is the CL600V12 as a daily driver on gas compared to the V8 CL500. I really like the fact that the CL600 has 492horses but how is this car on gas?? Please give any advice.

for a daily driver, i don't know on the 600. but i DO know that i wish i would of bought a 600 over a 500, but couldn't find the one in the right color for me. get what car you feel does YOU, the v12 is something ANYONE would take, and thats gonna be the main response you will get from everyone here. everyone!

colors? mileage? price your paying for either? stuff we would like to know before an official comment on which car to roll in.

this a side dealer or a dealership? if its the dealership, might be worth your while to find a diff v12 with a warranty by them?

I am going for a black/tan or black/black which to me looks better than silver. Mileage about 57k. This is a side dealer. He just recently sold a 2002 black CL600 loaded with 70k miles for $24k. He said, whenever I am ready he could get me in a 03 with 57-60k miles for about $26-27k. Nothing tagged on. No profit. Only reason, I am buying from him is because he is a good friend. All his cars are in great condition. Offer me a 2004 BMW 745LI black with sports package for $24.5k. Test drove it and I felt like I was a limo driver. I have no idea why people purchase very big four door sedans unless you have a family. Just overkill. I test drove a 02 CL500 and was blown alway. ABC worked flawless. Lifted the car up and down. Really nice. Engine was responsive. Quailty!! Metal clips to pull the seats up, leather dashboard and seatbelt coverings. BMW's are still using plastic everywhere. Also the seats are motorized to move up and back after letting passagers out of the back. Even the doors close themself tightly with the air system if you dont slam them. Even with the ABC on during the full test drive the car floated over heavily street bumps here in south miami. I am single, and young with no kids. I don't plan on having any for the next 5 years. I totally fell in love with this car. All you would need is the 03 amg kit and maybe a spoiler. This car is still hot even beening a older CL, here in Miami.

He is a dealer and gets mostly all his cars from a certified preowned mercedes dealership. Trust me prices are not that cheap in florida but they are cheaper than other states. I guess because mostly everyone in florida trade in thier cars every 2 years many of the high priced vechices are not worth much here/

S500
Definitely get the 600 if you don't mind the price of the car and gas/insurance.
