I am getting a new ML series and I am trading in a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The problem is the day before I was supposed to bring the Jeep in to the dealer to price the trade-in, my wife backed into another car and put a pretty good dent in the rear bumper. I postponed the appraisal. Should I get the car fixed before bringing it in? The MB dealer also has a Jeep dealership - should get it fixed elsewhere prior to appraisal, or should I bring it to them and let them appraise it as is, figuring they can fix it for the lowest cost since they are also a Jeep dealer?

I wouldn't worry about it. If you can put a bumper sticker over it to cover it up, do that. But I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.
