New York Laser Traps
278 US Highway
On the Verrazano Bridge
State Highway 27
Suffolk Sheriff hides on bridge exit eastbound.
678 US Highway
Just north of the Jewel ave exit there is an overpass coming out of Flushing Meadow park. That overpass is restricted to civilians, however it leads right onto I678.
Interstate 684
There are usually four troopers from 287 up to Bedford Hills covering the north and south bound of 684.
Interstate 684
Exit 6. On the right side of 684 southbound about a quarter mile past the rest area there is a cluster of trees closer to the highway than usual. The location is a hill slightly above the level of the road.
164th Street
North of LIE on 164th Street, once you pass the traffic light at Booth Memorial Ave...as you go down the hill across from Kissena park, there is a cop that during nice weather)stands holding a radar gun. He is at the bottom of the hill waiting for you. Gets car after car. I have seen him use a NYC Taxi also.
Asharoken Avenue
Entire avenue.
Belt Parkway
Either eastbound or westbound on the belt parkway, the police cars (both marked and unmarked), are usually on the off ramp and and on ramp at the Erskine Ave exit, right by the huge Gateway mall.
Clear View Expressway
As you come off the bridge from the bronx side(East Bound) And you must becareful as you get to the tops of the little hill's because the patrol cars are sitting at the bottom as you come to the down side.
Clearview Expressway
Marked and unmarked cars, wait at bottom of on ramp from Northern Blvd. Vehicle sits perpendicular to traffic so officer can aim laser from his window. City had area paved just for this purpose. he's there everyday. When he's not there he's probably writing a ticket a few hundred feet up the road.
FDR Drive
FDR drive northbound lane directly underneath Brooklyn bridge off the Brooklyn Bridge/Pearl street exit every Sunday like clockwork and some weekdays been observed. Dark Blue unmarked Dodge Charger Hemi, NYPD Highway police. When you are climbing hill to get onto FDR drive north from underpass tunnel.
Grand Central Parkway
Both NYC and NY State Troopers sit in middle median monitoring either or both directions of traffic right at boarder line of Queens (Westbound) Nassau (Eastbound).
Grand Central Parkway Service Road
There are cops sitting in marked and unmarked cars parked on 172nd Street and East Bound Grand Central Parkway Service Road with Radar/ Laser gun waiting for speeders. Sometimes they are on 170th Street. By the time you see him, its too late. After you pass 168th Street, just stay under 30mph. That little stretch will tempt you to do 60, especially when you get the light at 168ST
Henry Hudson Parkway
Northbound on the Henry Hudson Parkway there is a hill right before the tolls.
Henry Hudson Expressway
Heading southbound on the Henry Hudson highway in New York, there is a police cruiser that waits for cars near the exit at around 158th street. Be careful around the curve since he catches vehicles there around 1-2 AM.
LIE
If you are on Long Island heading towards NYC (on the LIE), he's around a bend tucked sideway on the right hand side, long before exit 36
LIE Eastbound
Cop sits in Gas station waiting for speeders and red light violation. Gets them going eastbound on Service Rd of LIE...Monitors traffic lights for eastbound Service Rd & north & southbound Union Tpke.
LIE East/Westbound
Worst place to speed in Nassau is from exit 37 to the Suffolk line at Rt. 110 either direction also Rt. 135 is real bad north or south.
Korean War Veterans Parkway
Vehicle positioned on blind side of curve just after Huguenot ave ramp or they are a half mile up behind the Foster rd abuttment...slow down from here to the outerbridge crossing...they work both sides too.
Meadowbrook Parkway Parkway
Meadowbrook Parkway North bound in-between Babylon Turnpike & the Southern State Parkway. Nassau Count Police Car hides in trees on median on left.
Northern Boulevard
eastbound northern boulevard, right after you go past shea stadium. The cop hides around the curve, on the right, in the dirt under the tree just before you get onto the ramp that will land you on northern blvd to take you to prince st and main st.
Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway
Trap is Southbound after you get on from Jericho Turnpike. Long open stretch is a temptation. Exploitive cops with lectures
Staten Island Expressway
On the staten island expressway when you are coming from new jersey and are crossing into staten island expressway from west shore expwy or when your coming from the other end and right before the divider that lets you go either to goethels/outerbridge right in the median theres an unmarked black car sitting in the pm hours and a marked unit in the am hours almost everyday also be careful around victory blvd on the west shore expwy theres a marked highway patrol unit right on the ramp to get on the hwy.
Southern State Parkway
NY State troopers usually hide on the entrance ramp mount over looking the east bound traffic.
Tri-Boro Bridge Crossing
Sits outside his Highway Cruiser, in an extra breakdown lane, on the East bound Tri-Boro Bridge just as it enters Queens. Just before the Astoria Blvd exit and that overpass there.
Union Turnpike
Center median between metropolitan Ave and Woodhaven Blvd
Van Wyck Expressway
Port Authority Police have a new Unit that has targeted speeders on the southbound Van Wyck Expressway.
Whitestone Expressway
They are positioned at the end of the bridge in the median right before the split to the cross island on the left side.

Pretty much screwed to drive fast. Once the laser detector goes off you might as well just pull over.

haha, i got this info from online, i just copied and pasted it. i know how to type unlike other people. :P these are the only places i found so far that use laser, so this is a precaution for NY drivers and even for those with radar detectors.
