With today's economy not at its best...

I still only had to pay only 1.35 per gallon for super unleaded at Shell today!! This was a station in Arcadia, CA. How are the prices around the nation??

San Diego, CA - $1.61 to $1.69 in most of the areas I've driven through.......

Just north (in Santa Ana) I've seen premium at $1.43. Better, but still paying Southern California "sunshine taxes."

Well, let's see, first you have Gray Davis, and then again you have Gray Davis.
I think the main reason is pipelines capacity, refinery capacity, special gasoline formulation (although Houston should have about the same), more taxes. And then you have Gray Davis - but I'm sure he'll blame Texas for that as well.

Yes we have expensive gas in California but you guys have Houston

Sorry couldnt help myself but damn that is some cheap a$$ gas. I mean we can hardly find any pumps that still give out 92 Octane and you got 93

What part of Texas are you from, please don't say Houston.

Can't disagree with you. . .

Bottom line, though. I have cheap gas, but you guys have E55s. Although I am very happy with my E420 - plenty fast to me once you reach 20 mph.

Luckily you dont live in the UK, its down to about $4 per US gallon (US gallon is 4 liters isnt it?)

- There seems to be a price war breaking out between OPEC (ie middle east) and Russia etc with some of the Opec guys saying it may drop to $10 per barrel. It peaked at $31 just after Sep 11th when people were worried what the reaction against middle east might be, but anyway oil does seem to be getting cheaper - and history says that the previous recessions co-incide with high oil prices.

How did you get your Smiley-face up there ... did it appear when you became a Member?

Ok, that's probably what happened.

Here you go bro:

1. print this page to refer to (i always need to)

2. go to nav buttons on top/right ...

3. hit 'user cp'

4. look for the line of nav. buttons towards the top of the page ... and click on the one that says "Edit Options" ...

5. Scroll down to the bottom to last catagory 'other options' under the word "Avatar" and click on the "more info. link" ... and follow the instructions.

Hey, here in Hawaii in the middle of the ocean, we're ecstatic when we get PREMIUM (92 octane or the equiv) for 1.91 or 1.93!
