I have driven a few mercedes lately including a E320, C280,S320. Well, the common thing is that the engine gets very loud but the car do not seem to accelerate much when the I step fully on the accelerator. The mechanic told me that this a common feature on all mercedes sedans with auto transmissions. Can someone tell me if this is true?

There is a noticable difference between the 6 and 8 cyl. engines...and if you want power, the 55 AMG engines deliver, for sure.
