OBDII Scanner
I tried one from TopTak that was sold on ebay as well, had to return it because it couldn't connect successfully to my ecu.

Lots of people on these forums have bought this model and I have yet to see even one post that they were not satisfied.
All the more expensive models do is store the text message in the scanner. If you can read a number and look it up in a booklet and then read the text next to it, you'll be fine.

Use the extra money for something important -- like gas.

Tip: If you are not in a hurry, wait until that model goes on sale on the HF website (usually $39). Print out a copy of the online ad and take it to your local HF. Most managers will give you the online price even though it's not on sale in the store.
