I am babysitting my buddy's 280 SE, 1969, while he travels and I can't get a hold of him to ask the following stupid question. where is the fuel door on this car? am I blind, I have looked all over and can't seem to find it. is it in the engine somewhere? thank you and sorry in advance for the stupid question.

It should be behind the rear license plate.

Its not a stupid Q, on these older cars it can be hard to find the fill cap. But looking in the engine bay is a bit funny.

be glad its not the 68, because those are under the drivers seat
