Radar Detectors - Optimal placement and wire routing
I know you guys have radar detectors. I was wondering where you guys place yours, where they work be best and how you routed the power wiring. Also what model do you use and does it work well for you.
Thanks

When i was having my cd changer installed they didnt know where the hookup was so they took the dash panel off looking behind the head unit for it. So i just made sure that before they put that panel back on I routed the power cord under the panel and had it come out at the ac vents at the top of the console. There is enough room for the radar detector and the cord. It was a pain for them to take the dash off and i will not take it back off when i sell the car. By that time new stuff will be out. You want any pics of it?

all owners of "high performance" cars capable of breaking the speed limit need a V1 - I don't have one.
But to answer your "wiring" questions.
The best place to go is www.apexcone.com
yeah..I know...it's about the BMW E36 M3...but...it's also an installation of a V1 display into the rear-view mirror
