This is one of my favourite pictures - I should make sure I credit Andrew when I post it. I hope he approves. That is his E320 Bluetec, next to my car, for comparison.
I should make it clear that my Signature photo is an image of my car badge photographed by and re-worked, by another friend of mine, Mark aka "ZorroAMG". I love it!

I don't care what you've seen on youtube, no stock M is beating a stock 65. Not going to happen. I've raced my share of modded M5s with pullies, tune, exhaust, intake and walked them all at any speed in my stock 65.

AMG's are too heavy for racing. I love having a car thats somewhat limited in production.

If you're watching the vids made by M5/M6/GT board I would take it with a grain of salt. It seems that the only vids of AMGs that they show are when they are losing.
Search through other forums and you will see the AMGs (55/63) put up good fights with the M cars. It is really a drivers race when both are stock, whoever gets the jump wins in a straight line. On a road course the M cars have the edge.
Now if you bought an AMG seeking an "all conquering" luxury vehicle, the AMG is close however AMG focus more on comfort and therefore sacrifices all out speed.
I looked at the M5 before buying the E63. I couldn't stand the harsh ride, I prefer a more comfortable ride hence the 63. M cars sacrifice comfort, AMG cars sacrifice all out speed.
Don't be disappointed with your AMG, it will beat 99% of the cars out there in comfort and style

e63 is abit faster then m5 in acceleration, EVEN BUT THE M5 HAS DSG transmission
