CL500 Sludge Engine, Pictures and Video. CHANGE YOUR OIL!!!

Here is a great example of someone that does not change their oil... THis motor is a prestine model of a "sludge engine"

Enjoy the Video and Pictures....

Moral of the story, want to keep your car running smooth for awhile... Change your oil frequently.........

That is really horrible to watch.

Like I have said before, there are many people who should not drive these cars.

Lets see the two best ones I have seen.

2002 E430 (free service under warranty) guy took it to Jiffy Lube at 39K for the first oil change. He then brought it to the dealer and then told them what he did.
Did a power flush on it and sent it on its way.
Came back with the oil level sensor inop (wonder why).
Pulled the oil pan and found tons of sludge, but no scratches on the cylinder walls. Not sure about the valves.

Second guy took is brand new 2003 S55 AMG to Jiffy Lube for an oil change. They forgot to tighten the drain plug. Jiffy Lube manager called our service manager for the price of a new engine. Out manager called Jiffy Lube back and told him $63K, phone was silent for a few seconds.

Then there is the 2007 R320 the was proudly run on biodiesel. Until it clogged up the engine, turbo, exhuast system... destroying the car.

If not an oil change, what was it in for?

What I meant to ask was how old that oil is, unless it had never been changed?

I would imagine if the engine looks like that, everything should be flushed/replaced.

I never understood how people are so cheap about caring for cars. They deserve what they get.

LOL, sounds like conventional oil and paper filters with FSS changes for the past 100k miles.

Still astounding.

OK I'll be first to say it: this was conventional, not synthetic oil.

in your Mom's car
How or why in the hell would you take your S55 to JiffyLube to get your oil changed? All my services are done at the dealership. I don't care about the price gouging. I'd rather have someone that went to school and knows how to work on my car doing it. I think you should have to go through a screening process in order to buy certain cars. Just like Ferrari owners do.
