Thank you elia for the info, but there seems to be a problem. the info in the link you provided is for the VIN: WDD2073592F189706 but the actual vin on the car is, VIN: WDD2073592R189706 with an "R" instead of an "F". i verified on all 3 location of the VIN on the car. secondly the model described in the link is a E350CGI BlueEFFICIENCY 3.5L V6 COUPE when the actual vehicle here is a E500 5.5L V8 COUPE.
what could be the issue here? could it be some kind of criminal activity such as cloning? what should i do? any suggestions please?

I didn't found any C207 with "R" in 11 position of VIN. This sign shows production plant.
Baumuster 207359 - it's a E350 only. E500 has one from 2 baumusters: 207372 with M273 engine or 207373 with M278 engine.
Engine number is placed on engine block.
What You should to do? To source new, more "normal", offer from another seller.

The VIN system seems to be either broken or highly inaccurate. We just took delivery of the below vehicle but every one of the on-line VIN decoder site that I try says either "Incorrect VIN number" or tells me it's a "Mercedes Benz E-Class 2002"!
