CLS500 vs. SL500

I am in the process of looking for a certified pre-owned Mercedes for a good weather daily driver (I live in the Northeast, but I have two other vehicles which are both 4WD when the weather is bad).

I have narrowed it down to 2 vehicles - a 2006 CLS500 and a 2006 SL500. With the exception of the AMG package on the SL500, they are both very similar in features, same color, mileage (both around 23k), etc. As one would expect, the asking price for the SL500 is higher (about $7k more than the CLS).

I really like both cars so I am having a hard time deciding between the two.

What are people's thoughts? Is there something that I should be looking for or considering when deciding between these two?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!

If you'll use the retractable hard-top then the SL500 is the way to go. If not, then the CLS500 is more car for less money.

Whichever way you go, you're in for a great car!

I correctd it for ya!
SL is a MUCH nicer car- period.
If you do not need the room and the SL is big enough for you to drive comfortably- go for the SL. Higher build quality from the start.
