Unauthorized Usage of my S500
Is there anyway to find out if unauthorized usage of my car has occurred while my vehicle was in storage ? I know I zeroed out the trip counter and it now shows 178 miles, but i would like to somehow be able to prove that my car was in use while I was out of town. Is this information stored in the on board computer?
Thank you in advance for response.

Yes, I am pretty sure (90%) your car keeps a data log that gets as comprehensive as what speed you were traveling at what time. Not long ago, I had an issue where my AMG had a piston crack during heavy load and the tech and service advisor knew exactly when it happened how fast I was traveling ect. ect. I would call my service advisor and ask them if they could do you a favor and check the log and maybe take a picture of the SDS readout of that.

If you had took a picture of the trip computer before you put it in storage with a time stamp that should be enough ammo for you. I for one would be pissed as well if someone was out joyriding in my car that was supposed to be in storage. Good luck.

Well you can always install some type of device like the one for parents to track their kids in the cars. It alerts the parents whenever the kids are breaking the settings. I cannot remember what it is called though
