Great Day In Benz History
Today, January the 29th, is the anniversary of Karl Benz's 1886 patent on the first motorcar. Gottlieb Daimler had previously attached a motor to a carriage, but Karl designed the motor (based on an Otto two stroke) and chassis as a complete unit. The finished car was debuted later that summer.

He sure brought a lot of joy to my life!
That's why I maintain:
The 2002 CLK55 AMG Coupe is the best car ever produced since Karl Benz
patented the world's first motorcar in January of 1886, registered his patent DRP
37435, which is considered as the official birth certificate of the first motor
car!
