Need Help On My Cluster Problem
Hi guys,
Im having a defective speedometer/cluster for the E320 1996 AT part # 210 540 7247 with chassis number MHL 210055.OL.028769.
And then, I bought the similiar item with part number 210 540 78 47 to replace the defective cluster/speedometer. But unfortunately, it is not compatible with the car. all of the panel light always turn ON (for example, the ABS light panel always on and buzzing, and it will stop when the brake pushed - the LCD screen always show "searching"). Even though, the Fuel needle, temp, RPM and Speed needle, are working perfectly.
So, if anyone can help me out by sell the exact part to me or give your personal opinion regarding my problem, i will appreciate it.

A friend of mine from USA told me, based on his mercedes parts program, I only have 2 option.
1st Buy the exact same part number cluster 210 540 72 47
2nd. The only compatible cluster for the is 210 540 15 47
And my other friend from UK told me, i can still use the 210 540 74 47 cluster, but i have to coding the cluster with hand held/ activate...
Is there anyone here knows, if this coding/activate thing could be done without the cluster connected to the car ?
