lease end excess mileage negotiation?
Hi -- first time posting here.
Two weeks ago I turned in an '07 E350 after a 27 month lease. Simultaneously I purchased a '09 C350.
I just received the lease end statement and, as expected, I am being charged 25 cents per mile that I was over the lease maximum mileage.
I was over the lease max mileage by 5209 miles, making the final charge $1302, plus a disposition fee of $595 (which they are waiving). The vehicle had a total of 38956 miles on it.
Is there any hope of negotiating down the fee at this point by even a small amount?
