I haven't used Roadside Assistance yet with MB, but with my previous car I did, and I tipped. I felt bad because my car was soooooo low and had a body kit so he had a really hard time getting it on the flatbed. I only gave him $5, but it's not like he works off tips
Though I don't know if I would have done it if it was just a normal tow. He worked on it for about 30 minutes

The roadside assistance is free if the car is under warranty. It is also available for any year Mercedes, but there are charges for whatever services are performed.

Yes it was free with Mercury also. But I DID have to pay for the gas they put in it
Yes it turned out I was just out of gas. So from then on, I was the dumb girl who got her car towed when she ran out of gas
In my defense though, I put a gallon in and it still wouldn't start...how was I supposed to know it needed 5 gallons to run!?

it's a free service but I just feel bad that guy had to come all the way to my house to give jump start the car in the cold on a sunday. The tipping only comes to mind cuz it's a service.

Depends, if he takes 2 hours to come I wouldn't tip him. If he arrives promptly I would. But keep this in mind, I had a flat and called the MB man, when he was finished I tried to tip him and he said they're not supposed to take tips.
