[Question] Tires/Wheels/Lowering
I have a noob question.
What's the advantage of lowering the car (aside from a nice look)?
I read that lowering the car may cause uneven tread wear on the tires... Also, I read that with bigger wheels, you'll feel the road bumps more and possibly lower the mpg.
The owners manual recommends that I use:
Same size tires
Model CLS 550
Rims (light alloy) 8.5 J x 18 H2
Wheel offset (front axle) 1.38 in (28 mm)
Wheel offset (rear axle) 0.71 in (18 mm)
So if I get 19" wheel instead...will I be seeing the uneven tread wear, bumpier ride, lower mpg, or any other issues? Will there be ESP issues?
TIA!!!
