Importing benz from Germany

Is it cheaper? How much of a hassle is it? Has anyone ever done it?

Not sure if you mean Euro Delivery or you want to bring a used Euro Benz to USA.

Euro Delivery means you pick up your new car, usually in Stuttgart and get the grand tour at Daimler. Great, if you were going to Europe anyway. You'll get the keys to a fully federalized MB and it will wisk through customs at the dock.

If you're bringing in a Euro car to the US, then it's different. First, it has to be arranged through a bonded and licensed broker in the US. Second, the car must meet EPA and DOT regs in effect at the time the car was manufactured, including safety features, lighting, emissions, etc. The only exemption is for much older cars.

more like going to Euro, and buying it myself, then shipping it. I am more concerned on what it takes to meet regulations etc.
