The inception fee is standard in the US. However in the past I have been able to negotiate it away to a point...not totally. I cannot see why they would not do that in Canada also.

I would agree with the general rule to avoid first year of production. The base model have more than enough power to get you around but acceleration is not as immediate as you'd think, plus reliability is still a concern, like with most MB product these days. I've come across a few with charging issues and one with transmission. Ride is as hard as an A class, even on comfort setting too. It's probably best to buy from another manufacture with more experience in EV, if you must have an EV now and wait for the 2nd generation MB EV to go on sale.
