Cool Quick question about dealer:

Im looking to purchase a 2002 S500 and the seller has agreed to let me take the vehicle to a Mercedes dealership to get a full diagnostic test. My only question is if the dealer says everything is fine but something (like transmission) goes wrong with it within say 30days will the dealership cover it. Does the dealership guarantee their test and if so for how long?

THANKS!!!

No warranties on their inspection. they are not fortune tellers nor do they have X Ray vision. If you want protection buy new or buy used from a dealer with a Starmark Warranty.

Airmatic suspension will likely be the biggest expense, and it WILL be big.

IMHO S-class should be recycled after the first owner is finished with them, as they are pretty much financial nightmares for most next owners.

But, this is usually reflected in the price, which means a lot of car for the money.

If you cant afford to maintain it, don't buy it. It's a very expensive car to keep up unless you can do all the work yourself which I doubt. I love the S-Class W220 but I wouldn't touch it. That car can wipe your finances in a single shop visit.
