I'd be nice if everyone could chime in on what are the best roads in their area that they have driven on. By best, I mean everything - fun to drive, safe, smooth, and preferably not heavily patrolled for those times you...accidentally go 5mph over the speed limit.

I'm in New York close to Manhattan, but anytime I go a bit upstate, the roads are usually pretty nice - curvy, and not too busy.
