1995 320SL
Mercedes codes
Hello all
I'am a new owner of a very nice used 1995 320 SL.
Pardon my ignorance, but could someone explain the desinator code I sometimes see attached to a Mercedes model. Etc I know 320 stands for 3.2 liter, what does SL stand for as well why someone may refer to a model as a c140 for instance. Is there reference book I can get that breaks down the model designators etc.
